Tabby - White - Spunky - Medium - Adult - Male - Cat
Spunky is quite the cat and has quite the story. He was originally brought in as a stray with his littermates, and they were all horribly sick. He and his sisters had severe Upper Respiratory infections and we worked hard to treat them and get them better. Unfortunately, even though we cleared up their infections, both Spunky and his sister Punky had to have one of their eyes removed because they were damaged. They were a cute little bunch of kittens, and eventually they all found homes. Spunky was adopted with his sister Pipsqueak, and all was going well until he developed a Urinary tract Infection. He had a few accidents away from the litterbox, and despite the owners best efforts to make him use the litterbox, he would still sometimes go where he shouldn't. After his UTI was treated and he was doing better, he was still having litterbox issues. So, sadly he was brought back to us. We have had him back at our shelter for a while now, and he does fine using his own litterbox. We have also seen him use a shared litterbox, and very rarely does he even try to go anywhere else. He is okay with some other cats, but he would prefer to be an only cat. He gets along with mellow dogs. Spunky is a wonderfully playful and friendly cat, and never misses the chance to get attention or try to chase a toy down the hallway. He just needs to be an only cat to be happy and cure him of his issue. We don't want him to be an outdoor cat due to the fact that he has only one eye, and this would limit his ability to be safe outside. Please help us find him a new home! He deserves it so much...after having such a rough start to life with losing an eye...he needs to have a forever home and not be stuck living here at our shelter.
